Description:

Leica IIIc Nr. 388358 in silver chrome finish, with 50mm Summitar f2 Nr. 579899. Originally a grey painted camera, this wartime IIIc was chromed after the war by Leica. Delivered to Berlin on September 15, 1942, this German military camera found its way into the hands of one Major Louis Axelrod of the U.S. Army. Axelrod had the camera chromed at the Wetzlar factory after the war and took re-delivery of the camera on February 11, 1946. With uncommon E. Leitz New York ever-ready case and red "Rh" filter GECOO in its red paper box. Condition: Excellent overall
